Frequently asked questions

About the training

What training do you offer?
We provide training for forklift, reach truck, EPT/stacker, aerial work platform (classes 1B, 3A, and 3B), and order picker. Each training is available as a basic course, advanced course, or refresher, depending on the level of your team. Get in touch to discuss which option is the best fit.
How long does a training take?
It varies by training type and level:

Forklift & Reach Truck: beginners follow a two-day basic course. Employees with some experience complete a one-day course. Experienced operators can take a half-day refresher (approximately 4 hours).

EPT / Stacker: half a day.

Aerial Work Platform: approximately half a day per class, or around 6 hours for all three classes (1B, 3A, and 3B) in a single day. Highly experienced operators can take the assessment in 2 hours.

Order Picker: basic training takes one day; advanced and refresher training take approximately half a day (around 4 hours).
What are the aerial work platform classes and what's the difference?
There are three classes for aerial work platforms:

Class 1B — static boom: telescopic and articulating boom lifts on outriggers, trailer- or chassis-mounted platforms, and spider lifts. The machine stands stable on outriggers during operation.

Class 3A — mobile vertical: self-propelled scissor lifts and single-person vertical lifts. The platform moves straight up and can be driven while in use.

Class 3B — mobile boom: self-propelled telescopic and articulating boom lifts (boom lift / knuckle boom). Combines vertical and horizontal movement and can be driven while in use.

You can train for one class only, or combine multiple classes in a single day. We discuss beforehand which classes are relevant for your situation.
What's the difference between basic, advanced, and refresher training?
Basic training — for employees with little or no experience with the equipment. We start from scratch: safety, technical knowledge, operation, and practical skills.

Advanced — for employees who have some foundational knowledge but are not yet fully competent. We go deeper into techniques, scenarios, and practical situations.

Refresher — for experienced, already-certified employees. Knowledge is refreshed, skills are sharpened, and we check whether working habits are still safe.
What do participants receive after the training?
Upon successful completion of the training, participants receive a recognised certificate. We also handle all associated administration and documentation, so everything is properly arranged for you as the employer.
What happens if a participant fails the assessment?
We schedule a resit together. We discuss where the participant fell short so they can work on those specific areas. Resits are scheduled separately — get in touch for the options and costs.
Can you also train at our site?
Yes — all our training is delivered on-site at your location. That way, employees train on the machines they use every day, in a familiar environment. It makes the training immediately applicable. We do need a few basic things from you — see the question about preparation below.
How many participants can take part per training session?
We deliberately keep groups small so everyone gets enough attention and practical time:

Forklift, Reach Truck & Order Picker: maximum 8 participants.

EPT / Stacker: maximum 10 participants.

Aerial Work Platform: maximum 6 participants.

Have more employees? We schedule multiple groups.
How far in advance do I need to book?
As soon as it suits you. In most cases we can find a suitable date within one to two weeks. For urgent situations — an employee who needs to be certified quickly — get in touch directly and we'll see what we can do to fast-track it.
How do you support a participant who doesn't pass right away?
We discuss this after the training. Together we look at where the participant fell short and how best to address it. Sometimes extra practice on the work floor is enough; sometimes an extra guided session makes more sense than going straight to a resit. We find the approach that works best.
Can employees with different levels of experience train together?
Ideally, participants at the same level train together. If that's not possible, we'll work out a suitable arrangement together, so everyone gets the training that fits their needs.
Can employees combine multiple training courses in one day?
In some cases, yes. For example, combining different AWP classes, or an EPT training combined with a reach truck refresher on the same day. We assess each situation individually to determine what's feasible and appropriate — both in terms of scheduling and the workload for participants.
Is training available in English?
Yes — all our training is also available in English. Just let us know when you get in touch and we'll take that into account.
Do you also train outside the Netherlands?
Currently we focus on locations within the Netherlands. Have a specific question about a location just across the border? Get in touch and we'll see what's possible.

About preparation

How can participants prepare for the training?
Each training page has a textbook available to download. It covers the theory that will be addressed during the training. Reading it in advance isn't mandatory, but those who do will arrive better prepared and have more headspace to focus on the practical side.
Where can I download the textbook?
Each textbook is available on the corresponding training page. Go to the page for the training you've booked and click the download button. The PDF is free.
What do you need from us to be able to deliver the training?
We ask for two things from your organisation:

A well-maintained machine — properly serviced, safe, and suitable for the level of training. We do not train on equipment that is not in sound technical condition.

Sufficient space — enough room to safely carry out the practical exercises. We'll discuss this during the planning stage so you know exactly what's needed.
What if participants have limited Dutch or English proficiency?
We deliver training in Dutch and in English. If a participant speaks another language, it is the employer's responsibility to arrange a suitable interpreter. Always let us know in advance so we can factor this into the structure of the day.

About costs and scheduling

How much does training cost?
We work with tailored quotes, because every situation is different. The number of participants, type of training, duration, and location all play a role. Request a no-obligation quote — we'll come back to you as quickly as possible with a clear proposal.

About Refresher Without Downtime

What is Refresher Without Downtime?
Refresher Without Downtime is our approach to refresher training that minimises disruption to normal operations. Instead of taking the whole team off the floor at once, we rotate employees through the training in small groups. Production continues while employees still get their training.
How do I schedule a Refresher Without Downtime?
We work the schedule entirely around your working pattern. We discuss how many employees are involved, which equipment is in use, and what your shifts look like. Based on that, we build a training schedule that fits your situation. Get in touch to discuss the options.
Is Refresher Without Downtime more expensive than a regular refresher?
Not necessarily. Because we work with bespoke solutions, the price depends on the number of participants, duration, and scheduling complexity. In many cases, the savings on lost production far outweigh the training costs. We're happy to put together a tailored quote.

About Code 95

Which HefPro training counts towards Code 95?
HefPro offers two CPD programmes that count towards Code 95:

Forklift (modules U16 & U17) — two separate modules of 7 hours each, giving a total of 14 CPD hours.

Reach Truck (module U16) — one module of 7 CPD hours.

Our Code 95 CPD training is accredited by the CBR/CCV.
How is the CPD registered with the CCV?
After completing an accredited CPD module, we handle the registration with the CCV on your behalf. Participants don't need to do anything themselves — the hours are automatically added to their driver qualification card.
What if my Code 95 has already expired?
If the Code 95 requirement has lapsed, the professional driver is no longer authorised to drive under that licence category. In that case, the driver must complete the full 35 hours of CPD again. Get in touch for advice on the best approach for your situation.
